Best in Nature Contributes to The Parkinson's Foundation

Best in Nature is proud to contribute to the Parkinson’s Foundation as part of our ongoing efforts to support better health for all people.

Something that’s increasingly come to our attention is Parkinson’s disease and the need for more research.

This neurodegenerative condition affects over 1 million people in the United States alone with no known cause. However, The Parkinson’s Foundation and the research they fund brings us closer every year.

The foundation provided genetic testing and counseling to nearly 18,000 people at no cost in 2024. This uncovered that 13% of people diagnosed may have a genetic link to the condition.

The effects of Parkinson’s Disease (PD)

PD affects people very differently but many of the known symptoms interfere with people’s ability to control their movements including.

  • Tremors
  • Slow or stiff movements
  • Limb stiffness (rigidity)
  • Balance problems (postural instability)

While Parkinson’s isn’t fatal, it’s estimated that complications relating to Parkinson’s is the 14th cause of death in the US.

The Research

Although a cure hasn’t been found, research is constantly uncovering new treatment options so that those with PD can live a healthy and fulfilling life. If you would like to also contribute to this research learn more about the Parkinson’s Foundation here
