Best in Nature stands with the AAPI Community

January - Vichar Ratanapakdee was violently shoved to the ground and later died of his injuries

January - A 52-year-old woman was shoved to the ground requiring stitches in Flushing, NY

February - Noel Quintana was brutally slashed across the face on the New York Subway

March - An elderly man died following a violent assault and robbery in Oakland, CA

March - An Uber driver is coughed on and pepper sprayed in San Francisco, CA

March - A mother is spit on 3 times while holding her baby in Queens, NY

As heinous as these crimes are, they are only a few among an increasing number targeting the elderly in the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Asian Americans have disproportionately and wrongly suffered blame, resentment and increasing violence. The COVID-19 Pandemic has upended countless lives. However, that is no excuse for the racism and hatred that is being perpetrated.

Best in Nature stands with the AAPI community in condemning these acts. We urge our followers to also stand for justice and do what you can. As an organization, we have listened to individuals about their experiences, done our own research and donated to organizations that can help. For individuals, there are many more ways to help including escorting seniors to keep them safe or volunteering with organizations such as a AAJC or STOP AAPI HATE. In fact, GoFundMe has made things easier with their page dedicated specifically to AAPI causes, which you can go to here.

We've chosen the causes below to donate to:
